CINCINNATI — One more free agent guard came off the board on Thursday as FOX Sports’s Jordan Schultz reported former Bears protector Teven Jenkins is signing with the Cleveland Browns.
The veteran was widely considered the best free-agent guard available after playing for Chicago over the past four seasons. He’s earned a 72.6 Pro Football Focus Grade or higher in each of the past three seasons and just played 738 snaps at right guard last campaign.
Cincinnati has a guard option visiting on Friday in Lucas Patrick. He is ranked 170th on PFF’s list of top free agents, while Jenkins was 29th entering his fifth NFL season. The Browns now boast a deeper interior offensive line room.
